Venus of Leiden
Apparently this statue, that is called the Venus of Leiden and that can be found in "Het Plantsoen" has caused quite a stir in Leiden. We discovered it yesterday evening, on a walk through our neighbourhood.It at first was placed there, without approval by the city council, by a group of artists called the Kunst Uitschot Team . The people around the Plantsoen took offence to it and the statue was removed by the city council. But, after a while it was re-placed there again, by that same city council and revealed with a lot of press. Took about a contradictory.
I quite like it, it has something robust and makes for a nice change in the park.
