A walk in the park

Remember that statue I told you about, the one in the Plantsoen park
(see post below)





There's another one! And hallelujah for Google, it turns out it's a statue by a very famous Dutch writer and sculpture, Jan Wolkers. It's called mother and child in sun hats. It's made in bronze and was placed in the park in 1958. So that means it has been part of Leiden for nearly 50 years!

How cool is that to discover on a walk in the park?!
