Yet another food recommendation

We can't seem to get enough of restaurant recommendations (or eat out too much, which ever:-)) but Leiden does have it's fair share of nice places to go.

Tonight we went to Tapas En Zo again and I have to say, yet another good food and wine filled evening and in the end being surprised by the check. We nearly OD'ed on tapas (no seriously, how much tapas can a person eat...) had a bottle of wine and to only have to pay 30 euro each (including coffee and liqors instead of desert) in this day and age is simply amazing.

Good quality food, you do need to have some patience with regard to the waiting staff (students, need I say more), but in the end it all comes together and you can't leave other than happy, full and still have money left in your wallet.

Would def recommend it and will probably go there again.

New museum - Corpus

We haven't been there yet, but I'm intrigued about this new museum that recently opened in Leiden. It's called Corpus and you travel throughout the human body.

The Queen opened the museum and that apparently caused quite some attention, because up until 31 March all tickets are sold out!

I'll update on what it's like after we've been there.

Skoon

One of my newest favourite shops in Leiden is Skoon Ecodesign, a cute shop on the Hogewoerd, opened in 2007.

It sells furniture and interior accessories, but with a twist: all items in the shop are 'clean' (which is also the literal translation of the shop name) - so produced without making use of toxics in glue or coating material, nor can they be made of illegal wood and such. Socially and environmentally responsible items.

And, I love the things they sell. It ranges from chairs to lamps to purses to notebooks. It's quickly become one of the first stops for me to go when I need a present for someone. Great stuff.
